The 'European Researchers' Night' is celebrated at IMDEA Nanociencia

- 105 students from 3 schools in the Community of Madrid visit 10 of IMDEA Nanociencia's laboratories.
- The European projects TOMATTO, IDEAL and MSCA IF are participating.

Madrid, 30th September, 2024. Last Friday, September 27th, the European Researchers' Night was held in the main cities of Europe, a pan-European scientific dissemination event that aims to show the scientific profession and awaken vocations.
The Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies in Nanoscience (IMDEA Nanociencia) received 105 secondary school students from the educational centers of the Comunidad de Madrid IES Alameda de Osuna (Madrid), IES Marqués de Santillana (Colmenar Viejo) and Colegio Virgen de Europa (Boadilla del Monte).
IMDEA Nanociencia researchers showed their laboratories and held scientific workshops with visitors. In addition, some of the research projects that receive funding from the European Union were explained, such as TOMATTO, and the projects of the IDEAL COFUND and MSCA IF fellows. Oscillating chemical reactions, the scanning tunneling microscope, the world's smallest molecule race... In total, 10 different activities to teach that small is different.
