Dr. Inés García Benito
Inés García Benito is postdoctoral researcher at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) since February 2020. She graduated in chemical engineering in 2011 at Rey Juan Carlos University. Inés obtained her PhD. in organic chemistry in 2017 at Prof. Nazario Martín’s group working on synthesis of new organic electron/hole-transporting materials for photovoltaic applications. Starting in 2017, she spent more than two years as a postdoctoral researcher at the leading research institute in renewable energies École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) Switzerland, with Prof. M. K. Nazeeruddin. There, she worked on materials science and solar cell preparation, developing new organic-inorganic materials for efficient and stable perovskite-based devices. In 2020, she moved to Madrid to join Prof. Nazario Martin’s group under “Atracción de Talento Invertigador” contract. Her research, developed at UCM and IMDEA Nanociencia, is currently focused on the study of new organic materials to improve the performances of perovskite solar cells.
