Abstract:
This seminar will present the work carried out by my group at IMDEA Nanociencia over the years, which combines CRISPR and nanotechnology for disease treatment and detection. Magnetic nanoparticles have been used to deliver CRISPR proteins to primary cells derived from patients, which shows promise as a strategy for curing genetic diseases. Additionally, CRISPR-based detection methods have been developed that are capable of detecting a range of diseases, from tumors to Covid-19.
