Towards scalable graphene (quantum) electronics
Place: conference room, IMDEA Nanociencia.
Abstract:
In this talk I will present our efforts to address the
challenges in scaling up graphene-based technologies, with focus on the
epitaxial growth of graphene (epigraphene) over SiC substrates. Our work
in scalable graphene growth and device fabrication have enabled the
development of practical epigraphene-based devices, including
large-scale Quantum Hall Arrays, Hall effect magnetometers with record
sensitivity, and quantum-limited ultraviolet (UV) detectors. During the
talk I will present details of material and devices, with emphasis in
quantum resistance metrology, for which our epigraphene devices form
nowadays the baseline of quantum standards in several metrology
institutes around the world.
