Madrid, 16th January, 2026. On 14 January, the Ateneo de Madrid hosted the presentation of the book 'Libro Blanco de las Nanotecnologías', a reference work that analyses the present and future impact of this discipline on society. The event brought together experts from the scientific and technological fields to highlight the strategic role of nanotechnology in key sectors such as health, electronics, engineering and energy transition.
The book has been conceived as a collaborative and multidisciplinary work promoted by 80 experts from the Sustainable Nano network (SNSSNN), with the aim of promoting nanotechnology as an essential tool for advancing towards more sustainable development. Through various contributions, the publication offers a broad and up-to-date overview of how advances at the nanoscale are already transforming our daily lives and laying the foundations for new technological solutions.
IMDEA Nanociencia participates in this edition with texts by Dr Milagros Castellanos and Dr Ramón Bernardo, coordinated by Dr Enrique Cánovas, reinforcing its commitment to scientific dissemination and strategic reflection on the future of nanotechnology. The book 'Libro Blanco de las Nanotecnologías' can be purchased through the publisher Aranzadi La Ley.
