Gouri Sahoo

I completed my B.Sc. in Physics at Sambalpur University, Odisha (India), and my M.Sc. in Physics with a specialization in Solid-State Physics at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), India. Before joining IMDEA Nanociencia, I worked as a Research Assistant at BHU, gaining experience in single-crystal growth and the synthesis and characterization of topological materials.

I joined IMDEA Nanociencia in July 2024 as a PhD student to fabricate and investigate metal–organic nanoarchitectures on ferromagnetic substrates using STM, STS, and nc-AFM, and to study their magnetic properties via synchrotron techniques (XAS, XMCD, XLD). Outside the lab, I enjoy reading biographies, playing badminton, running, and painting.
