Sayner

Thomas completed an integrated masters degree at the University of St Andrews in 2022. After this he stayed in St Andrews and completed his PhD supervised by Prof Ifor Samuel in 2026. The thesis "From sun to screen: time-resolved spectroscopy of organic solar cells and hyperfluorescent OLEDs" focused on the study of the properties of organic semiconductor materials using time-resolved spectroscopy techniques such as transient absorption and time-correlated single photon counting (TCSPC). Following the completion of his PhD, Thomas is now working at IMDEA as a member of the research teams of Juan Cabanillas, Enrique Cánovas, and Reinhold Wannemacher.
