My name is Alejandro Serrano Capote and I am from Cádiz, southern Spain. My journey in science began at the University of Oviedo, where I earned my degree in Physics. Later, driven by my interest in optics, my path led me to the University of Salamanca to complete a Master's degree in Physics and Laser Technology. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), working as a research assistant at IMDEA Nanociencia. I spend my days studying charge transfer processes in different types of molecules, using ultrafast X-ray lasers as a tool to understand this fundamental mechanism that leads to important natural processes like photosynthesis.
