The regional TV Telemadrid visits IMDEA Nanociencia to learn about the RNA_NanoTest COVID-19 project
20.04.2020
The programme "Buenos días Madrid" of the regional TV Telemadrid has visited the IMDEA Nanoscience laboratories to know the research on new tests for the detection of the coronavirus.
The research, carried out by the group led by researcher Álvaro Somoza, is funded by the Carlos III Health Institute within the funding framework for addressing the crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The project is focused on developing a new test to detect specific sequences of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus RNA, in a simple way and without requiring as many resources as other diagnostic methods.
