The Nanocar Race is an international competition of nanocars guided by researchers through the tip of tunneling microscopes. Nanocars are molecules of a few atoms, which are piloted by the mechanism of electrical repulsion. The aim of this global competition is to advance the development of nanomachines capable of doing real work and facilitate nanofabrication.

The aim of this online game is to introduce the nano theme in the context of car racing and gamification, while at the same time disseminating the science behind tunneling microscopes. To participate in the competition, it is necessary to register beforehand and answer a short questionnaire.
